Clear agreements
Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every quotation and commission from Ship Models. We have kept them clear and straightforward.
1. Who we are
Ship Models / DIRIKU KAPALKU, Limus Pratama Regency, Jl. Blitar 2, Blok E3 No 28, Limus Nunggal, Cileungsi Kab. Bogor, Indonesia.
Email: info@shipmodels.id
2. Quotation and commission
An enquiry is without obligation. The commission begins when you accept our quotation. The quotation includes the price, dimensions, execution, expected schedule and any shipping costs.
You provide clear photographs and available information about your boat. We base the model on that material. Handcrafting and scaling may result in minor variations in colour, dimensions or detail; these are part of its handmade character.
3. Payment in four stages
The total price is paid in four clear instalments:
- 10% — when the commission is placed.
- 40% — when the hull is complete.
- 40% — when the model is complete.
- 10% — after delivery.
You receive a payment request for each stage. Payment must be received within the period stated in that request. If payment is late, we may temporarily pause work or delivery.
4. Custom work, changes and cancellation
Because every model is made specifically for one customer, it cannot be returned because you have changed your mind. This never limits your statutory rights if the model does not conform to the agreement.
If you wish to change or stop the commission, contact us immediately. We explain in advance how a change affects price and schedule. On cancellation, work already completed, materials ordered and costs incurred remain payable. We offset payments already made and explain the calculation.
5. Schedule and delivery
The stated production time is a careful estimate. Missing information, changes, transport, customs or circumstances beyond our control may affect the schedule. We will inform you as soon as possible.
Please inspect the packaging and model immediately upon receipt. Report transport damage as soon as possible with clear photographs so we can assist you.
6. Complaints and statutory rights
If something is not right, email us at info@shipmodels.id and allow us to offer an appropriate solution. Your statutory consumer rights remain fully applicable.
7. Liability and force majeure
We are not liable for delay or loss caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Law and contact
The agreement is governed by Dutch law. Mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence continues to apply. If you have a question or dispute, please contact us first; we will gladly try to find a solution together.
