1. Who is responsible?

Ship Models / DIRIKU KAPALKU, Limus Pratama Regency, Jl. Blitar 2, Blok E3 No 28, Limus Nunggal, Cileungsi Kab. Bogor, Indonesia, is responsible for processing your personal data.

2. What data do we process?

• name, address, email address and telephone number;
• photographs, drawings, measurements and information about your boat;
• quotations, invoices, payments and project status;
• messages and files in the client portal;
• limited technical and security data, such as login and website data.

3. Why do we use this data?

We use data to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, carry out the commission, communicate with you, arrange payment and delivery, and secure the client portal. This is necessary before or for performing the agreement, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interest in providing a safe and effective service.

4. Who receives the data?

We share only what is necessary with service providers for hosting, email, administration, payment and shipping. Relevant boat photographs and project specifications may be shared with our production partner DIRIKU KAPALKU in Indonesia for manufacturing.

Where personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we use a valid transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell your data.

5. How long do we retain data?

We retain data no longer than necessary. Enquiries that do not become commissions are normally retained for no more than 12 months. Project photographs, messages and files are retained for as long as the commission and any aftercare require and are then periodically deleted. Financial records are kept for the statutory period, generally 7 years. Data may be retained longer where necessary for a dispute or legal obligation.

6. Security and client portal

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data. Keep your password safe and contact us immediately if you suspect someone else has access to your account.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may also object to processing based on a legitimate interest. Email your request to info@shipmodels.id. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority in your own EU country.

8. Cookies

The website and client portal use necessary functional cookies, for example for language preferences, security and remaining signed in. If we later use non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for consent first and update this policy.
